Class of '65 Band

The Class of '65 Band is fast becoming one of the premier show and dance bands in the southeast, playing tunes from the 60's and 70's era, that will sure bring you back to the good old days and get the crowd on their feet in no time.

The band was founded in 1990 by current drummer, Terrell Hattaway, along with current lead vocalist, Big Ben Atkins, and started out to be just what it is today: a large format band, including a four piece horn section, five piece rhythm section, and female vocalist to enhance the entire group. The lead singer, Big Ben Atkins, performed at the legendary Southernaire Club in Columbus, MS, from 1963 to 1971, along with the "Nomads". The legend continues today wherever you hear the 'classof65band' perform, and people are all talking about the good ol' days of the 'Southernaire' and 'There's a party going on....Come on Over'!!

The band has performed for many different functions, from weddings, private parties, festivals, class reunions, corporate functions, etc., and they continue to play the hits from the Motown era, along with some tunes from the 80's and 90's as well!
